Motivated simply by helping others, Steve Flom finds joy in assisting businesses and individuals reach their mortgage goals. Whether it’s mentoring a teammate, or supporting community banks as they build their mortgage business, as Supervisor of the Mortgage Sales Support Team, Steve is a compassionate partner.

Steve has been involved in the mortgage industry for over 15 years and excels at uncovering the root of a need to establish the right business strategy. Industrious to the core, Steve listens intently so he is armed with every detail, then searches for creative solutions and communicates options to build a plan tailor-made to his client.

A mortgage expert by trade, but a handyman at heart, Steve contributes sweat equity alongside his MidCountry colleagues at Rebuilding Together sites. Rebuilding Together is a national non-profit organization that strengthens communities by assisting low-income homeowners with critical home repairs. Hearing the thanks of the folks that benefit from Steve lending a hand with Rebuilding Together projects is music to his ears.

Bringing actual music to peoples’ ears is another passion of Steve’s. He is a bass player and part-time, professional musician who dabbles in just about every genre of music imaginable. Steve plays with his band, Db Cooper, any chance he gets.

Working in concert with musicians, teammates, or community banks, Steve builds rapport, relationships, and trust to provide a pleasurable experience to anyone who seeks his help. With a strong background in understanding the goals of those he serves, Steve is a proven advisor and respected member of the MidCountry team.
