Payton Eastman took the reins as Agricultural Banking Officer with MidCountry Bank in 2017 and quickly established herself as a leader within the MidCountry team. Payton was raised on a farm in Stewart Minnesota, immersed in the agriculture community from a young age. Her familiarity with the farming community leaves her undaunted when challenged by an economic climate that has been hard on the Ag industry.
Payton’s customers range in size from young farmers just getting into the business to those who have experienced many different Ag Cycles. “Having the opportunity to provide solutions to their individual needs and learn more about people in my community” is what Payton enjoys most about working with clients. She takes great pride in helping farmers achieve their financial goals and understands the importance of keeping up with the changing environment of Ag lending.
Academically gifted, Payton completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance at Bethel University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in her class. It is her unique ability to combine academic principles with her Ag industry knowledge in order to provide top-notch lending to her customers. Payton is setting the pace for others in her field. Her early success resulted in her selection as a 2018 Rising Young Professional, an award presented by Minnesota publisher Finance & Commerce.
Outside of work, Payton volunteers as a Sunday School Teacher, is an active member of Relay for Life, has served as an Ag Committee Member at the Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, and is the secretary of the board for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Payton is supported by friends, family, and her high school sweetheart - husband Brad.
Looking forward to the opportunity to leave her mark, Payton shares, “I am blessed to be surrounded by the best team of Ag experts. Our team has a firm understanding of the cyclical nature of agriculture, we are dedicated to our community and have a common commitment to agriculture and its future.”
