Making a difference with time, talent and resources
Hutchinson, MN – (October, 2018) MidCountry Bank furthered its commitment to Habitat for Humanity by supporting a local build project in Hutchinson with a financial donation of $5,000, and by organizing an employee work crew of volunteer laborers.
Habitat houses are built by volunteers, along with more than two hundred hours of sweat equity by the new homeowner, family, and friends over the next 9-12 months. With oversight of Habitat, local contractors provide and supervise the work, and many gifts-in-kind from suppliers and builders will come together to make this home a reality. Once the home is complete, the chosen homeowner will purchase the home from Habitat for Humanity with an affordable mortgage and payment.
MidCountry Bank Ag Lender Payton Eastman serves as a board member for the Crow River chapter of Habitat, and knows the value of bringing community together to meet the needs of affordable housing. “We appreciate the opportunity to help our neighbors achieve their homeownership dream, and are always looking for partners to continue this important work.”
