Bloomington, MN – (June, 2017) More than one million people in the United States are diagnosed with cancer each year. MidCountry Bank is banking on a cure by partnering with the Randy Shaver Research & Community Fund. Once more, MidCountry Bank helped raise funds to support research, prevention, treatment and other programs relating to the cancer community's needs through sponsorship of the annual Gala and Celebrity Golf Classic.
Absolutely perfect weather ushered in a record number of participants on golf day. MidCountry Team members volunteered at the MidCountry Bank sponsored hole, hoping to see a lucky golfer win the $10,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one
This year, the event reported grossing over $350,000. Over 90% of the proceeds are used by the Randy Shaver Research & Community Fund to fund research and local cancer-related projects each year.
