Habitat Breaks Ground on Minnesota's First "Veterans Build" Project

Following months of planning, the ground was broken on September 17th in a ceremonial launch of the first “Veterans Build” in the state of Minnesota for Habitat for Humanity. Soon a slab will be laid and construction will begin; ultimately providing safe and affordable housing for a veteran family.

The Hastings Team Did Not Let the Rain Cloud the Fun!

Customers in the Hastings community look forward to bringing in family members and grandchildren to be artists for the annual Chalk Art Contest. This year the event took place Friday, July 21st, however the event had to be moved indoors due to inclement weather. The children still made the best of the situation with their creations on poster boards.

Packing Local Food Pantries

The MidCountry Bank team is known to step up to help when there is a need. Many students at a charter school near our bank headquarters in Bloomington, MN are in need of essential supplies. Many of the students there are non-traditional students from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
MidCountry Bank Brings a Double Team to Help Habitat for Humanity

Team members from MidCountry Bank’s Hutchinson and Glencoe locations volunteered with the McLeod Habitat for Humanity. This double team tackled tasks to help with the latest home under construction in their community. The Hutchinson crew (see photo) was there on a Thursday to paint the inside of the house. Outside, they worked on installing landscape edging and moving rock to beautify the yard. The Glencoe folks (not pictured) followed on Friday and put on another coat of paint inside.

Townie Tuesday Supporting Rebuilding Together

Hutchinson School Supply Drive

Back-to-school expenses can sometimes cause a strain on family finances. Our team in Hutchinson held a School Supply Drive in cooperation with Common Cup Ministry to help those who face that struggle. All the supplies collected will be distributed to families in need to give those kids the support necessary for beginning a successful school year. This year's drive brought in the most Hutch has ever collected!
